A delivery point barcode (DPBC) is a combination of the Zip Code, the Plus4 and the last 2 digits of the street address. This makes each DPBC unique for each address. The USPS use machines that sort by this DPBC to make delivery more efficient. This is why the USPS is so willing to give a discount for supplying this DBPC.
